As a reminder, the College will become the regulator for all physician assistants (PAs) in Ontario as of April 1, 2025.

Registration for PAs opened on January 6 and we received a tremendous response. A big thanks to everyone who has already begun their registration process!

A reminder to all Ontario PAs: you must be registered with CPSO by April 1 to continue practising with the title of “physician assistant” or “PA” in the province. We strongly advise that you begin the registration process early to ensure you have sufficient time to gather and submit all required documentation. If you haven’t already, please visit the New Applicant Account Creation page on CPSO’s website to create your profile and get started.

You are also encouraged to review the PA section of CPSO’s website, which provides guidance on frequently asked questions including around delegation, registration requirements, PAs on leave, and more.

For Ontario physicians: If you work with PAs, please encourage them to begin the registration process as soon as possible and to subscribe to Dialogue to receive regular updates from CPSO. PAs will automatically receive new issues of Dialogue once they become CPSO registrants.

If you have questions, please email CPSO’s registration team at [email protected].
