



Elections see four incumbents return to Board, new Public Director appointed
Elections held in Districts 6, 7, 8 and 9 saw the return of four incumbents to the CPSO Board of Directors.
We also welcome to the Board a new Elected Director from District 7 and a Public Director appointed by the Government of Ontario.
District 6

Dr. Rupa Patel (Acclaimed)
Principal Area of Practice: Family Medicine
Location: Kingston
Dr. Patel returns for a second term as a CPSO Board Director, having first been elected in 2021.
District 7

Dr. Sarah Reid (Re-elected)
Principal Area of Practice: Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Location: Ottawa
This is Dr. Reid’s third term as a CPSO Board Director, having been elected for the first time in 2018. She will become Chair of the Board of Directors in November.

Dr. Virginia Roth (Elected)
Principal Area of Practice: Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine
Location: Ottawa
Dr. Roth, an infectious diseases specialist, will start her first term as a CPSO Board Director at the November meeting.
District 8

Dr. Lionel Marks de Chabris (Acclaimed)
Principal Area of Practice: Pain Medicine and Addiction Medicine
Location: Sudbury
Dr. Marks de Chabris returns for a second term as a CPSO Board Director, having first been elected in 2021.
District 9

Dr. Madhu Azad (Re-Elected)
Principal Area of Practice: Family Medicine
Location: Thunder Bay
Dr. Azad begins her second term as a CPSO Board Director, having been elected in a by-election in March 2022.
New Public Director

The Board welcomes Ms. Anu Srivastava of Mississauga, who has held roles in finance with the City of Brampton and William Osler Health System, as a new Public Director. Her appointment is effective immediately.
